L'Escapade de Marijac

We booked the room at the last minute, about 10 hours before leaving France, and it turned out to be a fantastic idea. The village was great, the food delicious, the room really cute, and our host friendly and helpful. We'll definitely return 💜

Everything was spotless, which matters a lot to me as a clean freak. The room was quiet and peaceful, with a magnificent view from the window. The owner welcomed us warmly and took time to explain how the appliances worked. The big bed was comfortable, and the sheets and duvet smelled so good. The kitchenette was functional and well equipped, and the large tub looked perfect for a romantic bath. In the small fridge were still and sparkling water, Coke, milk, orange juice, jam and butter. Those little touches were heartwarming. In the morning, delicious croissants and bread were left in a basket by the entrance to the room. It was a short but intense stay. The owner really knows how to make guests comfortable and happy in his home. Thank you so much, and see you soon 😉

The owners were kind, and they brought bread and pastries in the morning. But the cottage is outdated, beyond just being old-fashioned, and everything needs redoing. This isn't about preserving original features: there isn't even a proper bathroom. There's an old sink in a room with no door and a rickety shower in the toilet.

The people were super friendly, and having garden furniture was a plus. Breakfast was brought to the door each morning. The place is about a 10-minute walk from the centre. Inside, it's a cosy, authentic space that feels like being transported back in time, but it still has all the comforts.
