Travers de Pechméjà - Chambres d'hôtes

Guy even drove my husband to a local garage so he could get coolant for our car before the long drive home. He really went out of his way to make our four-night stay lovely, and was a perfect host. We had a huge room and a big shaded terrace all to ourselves, plus a fridge freezer for food and drinks. The homemade yoghurt and jams at breakfast were delicious. The views were stunning, and the infinity pool was a lovely place to cool off and unwind. It’s also a great base for exploring the area and picturesque towns like Figeac. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

The only real downside was the heat upstairs. We were there during a heatwave, and without air conditioning it was hard to get comfortable. Otherwise, the house had everything we needed for our week in August. It’s laid out over three floors, with a bathroom and two single beds downstairs, the kitchen and living room in the middle, and a double bed with its own bathroom upstairs. There are two terraces, and the pool is a good size, beautiful, and never felt crowded. The surrounding area is lovely for sightseeing, cycling and canoeing. The woman looking after us was friendly and attentive.

We only stayed one night, and coming back at night was difficult, but the advice we received was helpful. The rental was great, and we appreciated how friendly the owner was. Thank you.

Breakfast was fit for a king, indoors or outside, with that magnificent view. We even got to try Nathalie's recipes, and we didn’t hesitate! The guest rooms were spacious, comfortable and meticulously maintained several times a week. Nathalie does a fantastic job. Nathalie and Guy gave us a warm welcome to this magical place, overlooking the forest park. In the morning, the forest wakes as the mist rises in the warmth. The landscaped grounds are beautiful, and the infinity pool is stunning, with a view over the park too. We had a week full of wonder despite the slightly unpredictable weather.
