Lodève is a lovely little town, and everything is within walking distance. The surrounding area is beautiful too. I stayed three nights and found the room great for a good rest. The place was very clean, nicely decorated, and the staff were kind and helpful.

We left after one night and found another place. The breakfast was minimal and stale, the facilities felt dated, and the windows wouldn’t close or lock. The linen had holes in it, and we woke up covered in bites. The place felt grimy and unclean, so hearing it used to be a brothel wasn’t surprising. We had no issues with the staff, but the place was dire. We’d suggest avoiding it.

We couldn’t find a room on the motorway, so we drove on a bit further, and I’m so glad we did. We arrived at the last minute, but the host made us feel at ease and was very welcoming. The room was good value and came with a good breakfast before we set off. Thank you!
