The mattresses are great, and you can get a good night’s sleep if you open the windows. The place itself is okay, but there was a bad smell, like they’d sprayed the cheapest perfume through every room.

The worst hotel in the northern hemisphere.

There’s a great bakery nearby with lots of choices, from breakfast to a hot meal, and it made up for quite a bit. The hotel might suit someone looking for a quick stop and a simple breakfast, but the inviting entrance sets expectations it doesn’t meet. Inside, it felt very basic and not cozy. We hardly used the bathroom 🫣. This wasn’t what we’re used to when booking, and choosing it was a mistake.

The €19.90 evening menu was good, the welcome was perfect, and the room was cleaned impeccably. The room itself is in an older renovated space, with furniture that still looks dated, so it won’t be a 5-star hotel. But the bedding is comfortable, the flooring is new, and the bathroom is clean. At this price, what more could you ask for?

The hotel and restaurant are close to the motorway exit, and the place is very bright. You can see the renovations are good quality as soon as you walk in. We got a wonderful welcome at 22h. The room is lovely, and having a bathtub was a nice extra. I highly recommend it.
