I was only there for dinner, though an overnight guest told me the rooms are small and the walls paper thin. The evening felt like a community experience. There are only three staff, and they're friendly but clearly busy with whatever they're handling. The wait is worth it. Some people describe the reception as slow or icy, and I can see how taking that personally could create tension. I started chatting with the person beside me and settled in patiently, which led to a wonderful meal and a delightful evening. You really do dine at the slow pace of the mountains.

The pool was a welcome bonus, and they even had a bike pump. It's an easy spot to reach from the EV81, with St Lizier and St Girons just a short ride away. The hotel is bicycle friendly, the restaurant is very good, and the host and staff are super. It was extremely hot that day. There was a fan in the room but no air conditioning, though it cooled down enough for us to sleep well.

Easy to find and get to, with a lovely view and a peaceful feel at the foot of the Pyrenees. The cottage is very nice. The room decor is cosy, though it looks a little old, and the restaurant food and included breakfast are both enjoyable.

The reception was really friendly and helpful, no problems there. The room was okay-ish, though a bit small and dirty, which I suppose fits a budget hotel. Since it's a little far out of town, I booked dinner there too. The food and service were both pretty meh, yet the bill still came to 70 euro. I won't be hurrying back.
