Breakfast ended at 10, which we missed because we were on holiday and wanted to sleep in. During our three-day stay, nobody cleaned our room or left toilet paper, and the Wi-Fi was terrible. The beds were firm, which suited us, and the hotel felt clean and well maintained for an old building. There isn't much to do in town.

The local people and the area are amazing, but our room was poor quality and we were charged double. At 2 a.m., after hearing a disturbance down the hall, the hotel manager burst into our room. There was no apology or explanation then or the next day, and the manager acted as if it hadn't happened. Incredibly rude.

Our car broke down in the evening on the way home from vacation and had to be towed, leaving us unexpectedly in Trets with the children. The garage couldn't repair it by then, so we needed somewhere to stay. Around 20:30 we reached hotel Châteaux Demeures Vallée de l'Arc. The owner saw us with the kids and immediately responded warmly, telling us she could get something ready for us. We were relieved that we wouldn't have to keep searching for a place to stay with the children.

Very disappointing experience. The room cost far too much for the night, was ridiculously small, and had a tiny bathroom. There was barely room for anything apart from the bed. We thought there would be parking spaces for us, but apparently not when we arrived. Update after the landlord's unprofessional reply: no parking spot was ever offered. We were told to use the train station parking lot. No alternative room was mentioned either. Still a very disappointing experience.
