The Hotel Padoue was a pleasant surprise. The reception team impressed me first, they were friendly and capable. Although the room was small, it had a modern design and everything needed for daily use, and all the appliances and plumbing worked perfectly. The sanctuary is just next door, at most a five-minute walk. We'd happily stay again. I only wish breakfast had a bit more variety. Thanks for the comfortable stay and hospitality. Finding good service in Lourdes can be difficult. The city is so famous, especially with religious visitors, that hoteliers may not feel they need to attract guests, since tourists keep coming anyway.

The one good part was check-in: a very helpful woman gave me a map and showed me where to go. She was lovely, and the other staff could learn from her. Later, when I reported the problems at checkout, I wasn't even given an apology. The receptionist thanked me for telling her, then disappeared. They advertise this as a four-star hotel, but that didn't match my room. The lobby and restaurant look lovely, but the beds were extremely hard and my back will probably ache for days. Both the shower tray and sink were cracked, none of the outlets worked, and the heater and air conditioner were broken, so the room was boiling. Housekeeping came in at 9am without knocking while I was getting dressed, and my dog nearly got out. The door was bolted, but their key still opened it. I wouldn't recommend this place.

We stayed half board, and both dinner and breakfast were good. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they kindly lent my mother a wheelchair for our whole stay. It's very close to the basilica and Grotto. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. I'd recommend this hotel.

The room was spacious, and we had a comfortable stay at Hotel Padoue Lourdes. Its location is excellent, very close to the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. A convenient, pleasant place for pilgrims and other visitors.

The breakfast was great, and I slept well even with the air conditioning out and the window open. The hotel itself felt dated, like others around the city, though some have updated their fronts and a few smaller things. For a pilgrimage, it was fine.
