Villa Mariale

My stay was alright, and I got a decent amount of sleep, but I wouldn’t choose this place for more than two nights. It didn’t match my expectations or the photos, which I found were from ten years ago, with complaints already showing up back then. I stayed in room 501 from August 10-12, in a room for about six people. The beds were attached to the ground, and the Wi-Fi was poor. The AC wasn’t working at first, but a woman I think was called Florence, with curly hair and glasses, fixed it quickly. The hospitality was nice, though Florence could seem a bit mean at first, she was pretty nice. I didn’t find any bed bugs, thankfully, despite what other reviews said. My skin did break out, though probably from the water, but I can’t be sure. If that wasn’t the cause, I apologise.

Florence was amazing, and we loved every minute of our stay. The place was clean, spacious and comfortable, and close to the basilica. I was nervous before visiting in October because I’d read some bad reviews, so I called Florence first to check. It turned out to be my best stay in Lourdes. We’ll definitely come back, and I can’t recommend it enough!

I left my carry-on bag in the waiting area, and the front desk staff remembered me and kept it safe. The man at the front desk was awesome, and everyone in the lobby was very helpful.

It’s very close to Lourdes Sanctuary and restaurants, and the property has all the necessities. It’s not luxurious, but it’s very good value for money. The receptionists were all kind and helpful.
