L'Argalyde Esprit Pyrénées

We came from Australia for two weeks, and my dad has limited mobility. Damien had shower aids and a wheelchair ready, and the Plenitude apartment was all on one level and easy for him to get around. We arrived early, but Damien still went out of his way to check us in and get us settled. The apartment had everything, from towels and cooking utensils to great wifi. The garden jacuzzi was a highlight, a lovely way to relax among the majestic Pyrénées, and the sauna was great too. The apartment and grounds were sparkling clean and carefully maintained. Damien was an amazing host, quick to reply, full of helpful local knowledge. If we come back, we’ll stay here again. Seriously 10/10!

The accommodation and grounds are beautifully maintained, and the secure bike storage room is an added bonus you won’t find elsewhere. The town is a 15-minute walk away, with a grocery store five minutes away, and there’s top-quality bike rental in town. Our host was gracious and gave helpful tips for biking and hiking. He sent us to Cirque de Gavarnie, which became a highlight of the trip, and his restaurant recommendations were all spot on. Damien’s enthusiasm for the area and his beautiful hotel really takes things to the next level. We had a fantastic stay this July.

Damien was friendly and helpful throughout, with great suggestions for bike routes, rentals, restaurants, and things to see nearby. His communication before our stay was smooth too, including advice on which apartment would suit us best. The accommodation was clean, modern, and spacious. We made good use of the bike storage and aquatic areas, both thoughtfully designed and equipped to a very high standard. l’Argalyde is a truly unique place, and we’d be delighted to return. We had only planned a couple of nights after a long road trip, but liked it so much that we stayed longer. The modern apartments are relaxing, with fully equipped kitchens, washer-dryers, comfortable beds, and air conditioning. There are stunning balcony views, a lovely garden, hot tubs, two pools, a plunge tank, and a great, very secure bike room. Hautacam, Tourmalet, Soulor, and Aubisque are all easy to reach. The host, Damian, can also point you toward many lesser-known rides and hikes. Damien couldn’t have been more helpful. It’s hard to find fault with the place.
