The location is hard to beat, close to the sanctuary, cafes and restaurants, and just a two-minute walk from the airport shuttle stop. For the price, it was exactly what we needed, and I'd happily stay again. We got upgraded to a quiet triple room with one single and one double bed. The kitchenette was basic, but the kettle, fridge, microwave, plates, cups, and cutlery were useful for making tea and coffee. We brought our own tea and coffee since none was supplied. The rooms are a bit dated, as we'd gathered from earlier reviews, but ours was clean. We brought a hairdryer because there wasn't one in the bathroom, plus washing-up liquid and a sponge, though both were provided; the sponge looked old and well-used. We also brought towels, but the supplied ones were acceptable. Toiletries included a soap and two packs of body and hair wash. The very friendly receptionist waited while we checked in after the usual 6 pm hours. They also let us check out at 2 pm so we could keep our luggage in the room and freshen up after one last visit to the sanctuary before the airport.

We had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend this six-story hotel. Its position beside the Gave de Pau river is excellent. The bathrooms were very clean, and breakfast was good enough that staying in for it was well worth it rather than eating out. Part of the room rate is donated to the sanctuary.

You're close to the best views, restaurants, shopping, and the L5 bus stop. The Sanctuary Our Lady of Lourdes is also within walking distance. Best location.

The staff were all friendly and helpful, which made the stay pleasant. The location is great for a variety of restaurants and for getting to the Sanctuary, but the accommodation is bare-bones. Our room had a small kitchen sink and a two-burner electric stove, with very little counter space left for anything else. There were only two electrical sockets, both near the entrance, and no table nearby to set down whatever you plugged in.

The room is like a small studio, and having a little kitchen is very good. It had a small fridge, kettle, electric cooker, and microwave. Some updates are needed: the hairdryer didn't work, some cupboard doors were broken, and some bathroom heaters weren't working properly. There was no central heating in the room until November 1. There isn't room service anymore.
