Isabelle was a wonderful host, helping with travel plans and personal needs as well as providing excellent facilities and meals. This charming guest house is conveniently placed for visiting both the Luberon and Provence regions.

The courtyard at Villa Lumières has a ping-pong table and a boules court, and there’s also a swimming pool. The hotel is fabulous and spacious, and our stay was comfortable. Isabelle was the best caretaker I’ve ever experienced. She made delicious homemade food, looked after us whenever we needed something, and gave us excellent suggestions for places to visit, along with a map. The service was top-notch.

We liked a lot about our stay at Villa Lumières. The comfortable room had a big balcony and a really nice bathroom, and the hotel made a good base for exploring the area. Since it’s quite small, we often had the pool to ourselves. Breakfast was very fresh, and we loved the homemade marmalade and yoghurt. Dinner from the host is worth trying at least once. The dishes were all really nice, the price was very good, and it felt like eating in a real French home. There were a few things we didn’t like as much. The breakfasts were tasty but got monotonous. Three days in a row of marmalade was a bit much. A book in the room listed lots of rules, including no eating there, which we found a bit ridiculous and stressful by the end. The hotel is also at the crossroads of two relatively big roads, and the traffic noise was noticeable.

Isabelle is what stole our hearts. She’s such a gentle, caring angel and went out of her way to make sure we were having a good time. You can tell she loves her job. We chose to have dinner there and were thoroughly satisfied with the food, homemade aperitifs, and local wines. SO GOOD! The property is rustic and charming, in beautiful surroundings.
