Auberge et Hostellerie Paysanne

For what they charge, I expected better food and more attentive service. The desserts were a letdown too. We ordered Chateaubriand but got a Filet de boeuf, and the restaurant said it was an uncut Chateaubriand, then charged us the Chateaubriand price. The whole experience was very disappointing and overpriced.

The wifi barely works outside the lobby, so it didn’t reach our room. Breakfast was the most basic we’ve ever had, especially for such a high price. They also charge per pet per night, which made it unusually expensive, and we only found out at checkout. If you’re traveling with fur babies, I’d look for another hotel.

Dinner was delicious, and the hotel itself was quiet, with spacious rooms at a reasonable price. Breakfast was okay, with nice bread, but there were no eggs or even a croissant.

The food and wine were excellent when we ate at the restaurant with friends. Staff were super friendly, and the prices were good. We’ll come back!
