There are hiking trails nearby, and the road access to Gavarnie is good. The apartments are quiet and well placed in Luz, near a river where you can swim. It’s a lovely holiday spot if you’re travelling with a dog, with a large garden inside and access to the river.

The mountain view is beautiful, and the place is close to the center. But the bedrooms are upstairs while the toilet is downstairs, and cleanliness depends on whether people clean up after themselves. It didn’t feel very clean when I stayed, and the upstairs carpet looks awful.

We spent a weekend in cottage F2, a pleasant semi-detached place. The residence is small and quiet, just outside Luz beside the Gave river in the direction of Gavarnie, shortly before the road to the Ardiden ski resort branches off. The lovely February weather made the stay an extra treat.

Franck was very welcoming, thank you! I stayed in building 3C, booked through the Luz St Sauveur tourist office website. The apartment is small but has what you need, with two bedrooms for four people and a well-equipped kitchen. You could fit two more on the sofa bed, but six would be far too cramped. Everything was clean, though the lack of duvet covers was inconvenient. I could never get connected to the residence Wi-Fi. There are lots of apartments here, rented by different owners.
