Appart’City Confort Lyon Gerland

We felt right at home in this peaceful, cozy hotel. The cleanliness stood out, especially in our spotless, comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Joshua at reception deserves a special mention: he was welcoming, attentive and knew the area well. His advice on restaurants and getting around made exploring much easier. The lift wasn’t working during our visit. We appreciate management trying to address it, and hope it’s replaced soon for future guests. Otherwise, it’s a well-kept place with great hospitality and a good location. Highly recommended.

A big thank you to the team for being courteous, professional, helpful and sincerely attentive. Mr. JOSH/JOSHUA gave us especially generous guidance and assistance, always with a warm smile. The hotel is excellent, well located, and serves a delicious breakfast.

The room was much larger than I expected, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was ideal: the Metro is right outside, only four stops from the main train station. Auchan, a great big supermarket, a bakery and a bank are all about a minute away. Cooking was difficult because there weren’t enough utensils. The bigger issue was the heat. It was over 30 degrees outside and even hotter in the room, which was very uncomfortable without air conditioning. I’d be willing to pay more for a room with it.

I stayed here for 20 days and would rate it 4.8 out of 5. It worked really well for me as a solo traveller, and I think couples would like it too. The kitchen area has a good microwave and fridge, and the bathroom is cosy. They provide a fan in summer, which helps. It’s convenient for the metro and buses, with supermarkets nearby. I loved my stay.
