The price feels right for what you get, and that helps set expectations. It's very close to the train and Les Halles, with an easy tram ride into town and plenty of restaurants and essential shops nearby. The front desk staff were lovely when we arrived and left. My main gripe was the toilet being by the kitchen, away from the sink and shower. It felt awkward, but for what I paid I could live with it. The room was a little dated and cleaning could have been better, though the bed was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, which made it easy to cook with some of the delicious ingredients I bought at Les Halles, a big reason I came to Lyon.

The neighbourhood is quiet, which was a plus. If Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse and the big shopping mall are your priorities, Citadines Part-Dieu Lyon is a good choice for the area. The hotel feels a bit dated, and its layout is pretty much the same as the one at Zone 2. There's no air conditioning in the room, though the heater works. The sink in the shower isn't working well. The rest was good.

Friendly, helpful staff, but the service and room tidying didn't seem to be there. It's a budget place in a good location, near a very good daily market and a large shopping centre about 7-10 minutes away on foot. Just watch out for the lack of air conditioning in standard rooms. That's a big problem in summer. The Booking.com rating was 8, which I think is too high.

We got lucky and were allowed to check in early. The location is perfect, near the metro, shops, and restaurants. Our room was spacious, with a small kitchen and all the utensils we needed, though the dishwasher wasn't working. The bed was comfortable and the linens were clean. We had to check out at 4:30 am, and nobody was at reception to help. Still, it was a pleasant stay overall.

The hotel was being renovated while I was there. The dishwasher didn't work, the phone line was cut, and there wasn't an electrical outlet near the devices.
