The hotel feels very dated and is due for an upgrade. I didn’t try the breakfast because I need a high-protein meal and wasn’t sure they offered one. Our room was clean, though, and the front desk woman kindly let us check in early. The housekeeper also brought an extra comforter when I felt cold.

We were able to walk all over from the central location, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and professional, and getting checked in was quick and easy. A fantastic stay at The College Hotel, highly recommend.

The terrace is gorgeous, and the water bottle refill station turned out to be a surprisingly useful feature. The team was incredibly nice and accommodating. Collège Hôtel was a perfect fit for our four nights in Lyon, with lots of fun neighborhoods and several metro stops an easy walk away.

Parking is available close to the hotel, but getting there can be a bit difficult. I’d park outside first and ask the staff for directions. They were friendly and helpful with questions and directions. We stayed just one night and had a great time at Collège Hôtel. It’s near Lyon’s old town, with fresh, updated facilities and a clear concept.

Dreadful. We’ve only been in the room for 1.5 hours and it already feels like student accommodation, very basic. The kettle isn’t clean, and the iron they provided is broken. They claim to be a 4-star hotel, but I’d say it’s 2 stars at best.
