We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel, in a superb spot beside the Roman amphitheatre, with the funicular down to the city a little further along. One small issue was receiving a bill for each order as we went along. The manager replied that this shouldn't have happened.

A good place to sleep, away from the bustle, up on a hill above the city. The building is lovely, staff friendly, and our room was clean and practical with a comfortable bed. There was even a bed for the dog. Parking is available, though I think it should be free for hotel guests. The restaurant was a letdown: limited choice, small portions, bland food and prices that didn't feel justified. I wouldn't eat there. The spa also needs renovation and doesn't feel inviting or relaxing. The steam room worked badly, and there was no sauna. I wouldn't pay the high price for the accommodation option with spa access. Better places to eat elsewhere.

The service needs work for a 4 star hotel, as it falls well short of what a place like this calls for. The surroundings are lovely, peaceful and quiet, with nice rooms, a pleasant bar, a very good restaurant, and attractive gardens with a pool.

The food was incredible, and breakfast was great too, with plenty of flexibility around the hours. The hotel itself was stunning, and the staff were incredible, nothing was too much trouble. They're a real credit to the management. I've recommended it to others and will definitely be back.

A good choice if you're only in Lyon for a short time. There's onsite parking, and the historic building has been modernized. Breakfast was nice, and the museum and church are an easy walk away.
