The location is superb, honestly the one good thing about this apartment. The living area and kitchen were good enough too, though there was only one coffee mug. The rest made this possibly the worst accommodation deal I've had in 25 years of travel, and I would avoid it like the plague. Thanks for ruining our stay in Lyon. This is borderline criminal. The common areas are dark and uninviting, and the apartment has missing floorboards. There's nearly an inch of space under the door, which leaves little privacy. The shutters don't close properly, and there aren't any curtains. The bedroom is on a mezzanine with barely 1m50 of headroom. We lost count of how many times we hit our heads at night. The stairs up are narrow, steep and rickety, with no anti-slip features. It feels like only a matter of time before someone slips and gets seriously hurt. The bathroom was from hell. The cheap cardboard-frame mirror couldn't be fixed to the wall because its hinges were broken and in the wrong spots. The shower only gave scalding water, with no cold water to mix in. We had to wait several minutes for it to cool enough to shower safely. The heating rail never worked either. For four days, we had to shower with either scalding or freezing water and dry off with damp towels.
