Lyon Mon Amour BB

The staff were attentive and very friendly, and I’d recommend staying here. I had a good three-night visit, with a very comfortable bed and a pretty good breakfast.

The host was cheerful, polite, and helpful when I met them. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was sufficient, and there’s free parking on site. It’s easy to reach the city centre by bus, and the place was clean, comfortable, and convenient. 🍷🎶🥐😍

The owner made us feel very welcome, and we had a very good breakfast. Parking was comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked very well, and the air conditioning was nice. Everything felt new and very clean, including the recently renovated room and bathroom. I’d absolutely recommend this place to everyone. We stayed four nights and will book directly through the property website if I go to Lyon again. Thank you, Giorgio and Danny.

We left without staying and wouldn’t recommend this B&B. We’d come from Northern Spain on our way back to the Netherlands, and I’d already called the owner to reserve a garden-view room. We arrived at 3:30 pm, an hour early because the drive had gone quickly. I messaged him on WhatsApp to say we were there and waited in the street. Someone passing by asked if we were there for the B&B, then took a moment to check whether the room was ready. Ten minutes later we were let into the complex. The man seemed very stressed. He wanted me to park the car a certain way, got annoyed when I didn’t manage it immediately, then told us to wait while he checked paperwork, as if we were kids. He said the place was fully booked but he had one room left. We were sent to a small hall at the back, where the room on the left was pitch-dark, windowless, and claustrophobic. I told him my friend needed light and was claustrophobic, but he didn’t care. I reminded him we had reserved a garden-side room. He said everything was occupied, this was it, and if we didn’t like it we could leave. We were amazed by how cold and harsh he was, so I said we should go. Other reviews had described a warm welcome, but that wasn’t our experience. The inside looked like a school building and didn’t feel like a B&B. We’d made the effort to drive there, but he didn’t care. A strange man and a strange B&B.
