Premiere Classe Lyon Centre - Gare Part Dieu

It's just casually awesome. The train station is down the street and there's a mall nearby, while the room has enough closet space and a little bathroom nook for toiletries. The room is on the small side, but it has what I need when I'm out and about: cleanliness, a comfortable bed, a good shower with proper pressure, and space for my things. I slept well and would definitely come back.

Breakfast was pretty good, though you have to go outside the hotel to get it. The room had decent sound insulation from the street and was otherwise okay, but the family room felt cramped and the bed was sagging. The shower head was broken and the remote didn't work, though both were fixed after I reported them. The lobby, elevators, and corridor all looked worn, and reception was very basic, more like picking up a rental car. The location wasn't great, and the rate was too high for the standard overall.

The location works really well if you're using the train station. I arrived late, when most places were shut, but reception had a water dispenser for refilling bottles and a vending machine. They'd left a local bottle of beer in my room, which was thoughtful, though I don't like beer. The receptionist was very helpful. The rooms are small but clean and functional. Once I worked out how to use it, the air conditioning was fine. Breakfast was a cold buffet, well stocked and tasty, and the service was good.

The lights in my room didn't work for two days. When I told reception, the response was that there was nothing they could do, with no alternative offered and no proper compensation. The staff and service felt unhelpful, and the response showed little care or concern for guests. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
