Studio Peniche au coeur de Lyon pour 2 personnes, insolite et calme

We came across this lovely, completely unusual place by chance and were welcomed by a really nice lady. Parking right in front of the barge was easy. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and felt very friendly. It had everything we might need to cook, plus deckchairs and even a barbecue.

The welcome was very warm, and the studios are clean, well equipped, and quiet. The barge is in a great location and makes for an unusual stay. They are a little dated and not very well soundproofed, though. It rained, so we couldn't enjoy the outside area, which was a shame.

The extra bed was crooked, and the bedding was uncomfortable. Noise was unbearable because the things on the deck weren't secured properly. The room itself had no charm, just an ugly mix of furniture with no character, and cleanliness was terrible. The kettle was rusty and covered in limescale. Breakfast was the worst part: three Nespresso capsules and rusks that looked like they'd been there forever. The owners didn't respond, apart from pompous text messages. Expensive, ugly, a rip-off. Avoid at all costs!

You can hear everything through the walls, so sleeping was impossible. The shower was broken, the curtains were moldy, and housekeeping hadn't been done. There was rubbish constantly by the entrance, and the terrace furniture was badly worn. The owners' photos don't match what the place is like now. As it stands, this place should be closed to the public.
