Restaurants and a SuperU are an easy walk away, even though the spot itself is quiet. I only stayed one night, and the owner was really pleasant and helpful.

The landlady is a gem, and the setting is beautiful. It has a real family feel, with a friendly dog, a snooty cat, and a parrot who likes to make noise.

The owner was so warm and welcoming. We rented two rooms for a family gathering since we couldn’t fit everyone at home. One room had a 160cm queen bed for two, and the other had two 90cm singles that joined into a 180cm king for two. Both the bedding and the cozy atmosphere were excellent. Breakfast was generous, with a very pleasant dining room. It was quiet and relaxing, and well placed for exploring the region, right in the Marais Poitevin and not far from La Rochelle. I’d happily recommend it.
