Aparthotel Adagio Access Marseille Prado Perier

Our twin room was spacious enough for two and very comfortable for our three-night stay. It had the useful things you need for a longer visit, including a fridge, microwave, and dishes. The location is close to the metro and feels really safe. Definitely worth staying here!

The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, right by a Carrefour, and the reception staff were friendly. Inside, the room was phenomenal: spacious, sleek, and very clean, with a nice kitchen area, lots of lighting options, blackout curtains, plenty of outlets, and great Wi-Fi. The shower had good water flow and pressure, and there’s free coffee and hot water downstairs. Getting to the center takes at least a 25 minute walk. There aren’t many little shops immediately nearby, though you can find some by walking 5-7 mins. With heavy luggage, I’d take an Uber or Bolt to the train station or airport.

We had to cancel our booking because of the weather and were disappointed that they offered no refund or even a discount on a future booking. A 10% discount would’ve been a nice gesture for the client and would cost the hotel very little.

The bakery just up from the hotel is excellent, and the metro is a two-minute walk away. The B1 route stops right outside. The hotel is set back from the main road, so there’s much less street noise, which is a godsend if you know Marseille. I hadn’t realized there was a swimming pool either. I was pleasantly surprised by my room. I’ve stayed in a couple of aparthotels in Marseille, and this is one of the better ones. There was good space, it was relatively quiet, and it had air-conditioning, which you don’t always get in an aparthotel. The corridor on the fourth floor constantly smelled of rubbish or rotting vegetation. I aired out my room daily, but there wasn’t enough airflow in the corridor to clear it. I’m not sure how often the floors get cleaned, but mine were filthy. I travel with slippers and was glad to have them. The rest of the apartment was clean, but the floors really need a good scrub. Above average overall, though I’ve stayed in places both worse and better.
