Casa Ortega Bed & Breakfast

Caroline was welcoming and had good suggestions for things to do in this interesting, diverse city. The top-floor room comes with a covered terrace, which made the extra stairs worthwhile. It's conveniently close to the main station, and you can walk to the Vieux Port.

The hotel has such a charming feel, and Anne was friendly, attentive, and quick to help. My room was clean, nicely decorated, air-conditioned, and had a really comfortable mattress. Breakfast each morning was delicious, served with a smile. Getting around by local transport is easy from here, though the area can feel a bit sketchy after dark. I still felt safe inside the hotel and would recommend it ✨

Every morning, I came down to a table already set for a relaxing breakfast, and Caroline and Benmar made my stay in Marseille a pleasure during the hot weather. Caroline was waiting when I arrived, made check-in easy, and shared plenty of useful local advice. The terrace was a nice spot once the temperature dropped, and being tucked between buildings meant I slept quietly despite being steps from busy Gare Saint-Charles. I stayed four wonderful nights in a king bedroom with a terrace, and I'd happily stay here any time of year. The bed was comfortable, there was bottled water and a coffee and tea maker, and the shower was one of the best I've had, with strong pressure, a rain head, and a handheld option. The record heat made me use the air conditioning, and it worked well. Casa Ortega exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it. Merci beaucoup et à bientôt Caroline et Benmar!

Staying at Casa Ortega was such a great experience. The rooms are super cool, and the breakfast was perfect. Caroline, the owner, is incredibly kind, helpful, and full of great tips. This is truly the best hotel I've ever stayed at. If I could, I'd give it 10 stars.
