Studio Appartement Canebière - Vieux Port

The tram stop right outside and the very central location made getting around easy. Staff were really friendly and the service was great. Breakfast had a good range too. A very decent hotel overall.

Canebiere is right there, which is easily the hotel's best feature. The rooms are nice, though on the small side. At 21 euros, breakfast didn't feel worth it: the choices were limited and the quality was only average.

When I asked where I could get a drink or something to eat, the front desk sent me to a brasserie that had already closed at 7. It was 7:15, so I ended up walking down la Canebière boulevard to buy food at Monoprix. The young man at reception had been unwelcoming, almost rude and snobbish. I'm French, so I know what snobbery looks like 😆. The room was small, had carpet, and the windows couldn't be opened. There was no coffee machine, just instant sachets. The bathroom was small but nice. I travel a lot and was disappointed by this Mercure.

Since we arrived and left by train, having a convenient location mattered to us. Our room was especially comfortable, clean, and quiet, and we appreciated the little treats the team left. We'd definitely come back.
