The room was spacious and had a great view. The location was convenient, with parking nearby and the tram right across the street. But the hotel is supposed to be non-smoking, and it clearly tolerates guests smoking. The people next door smoked heavily overnight and were very loud. The balcony layout lets noise carry easily between rooms. Staff moved us, but the guest beside the new room was smoking too. Since all the staff seemed willing to do was move us around, we went and asked that guest to stop ourselves. It didn't feel like the staff cared about people breaking the non-smoking policy. I won't stay here again.

The bathroom really let the room down. It feels like a cabin on a ship, and the shower curtain lets water flood the whole bathroom floor, which is neither practical nor pleasant. The room itself can sleep three and has an excellent view of the port. The Novotel Suites Marseille is modern, the staff are very attentive, and breakfast is reasonable.

The rooms are great and so is the location, but they require a €100 deposit per room and promise to return it. We paid €200 for two rooms, and it's been more than 20 days without getting the money back. All they say is to check the bank account. That's not cool. I want my refund.

It was just OK. We booked because balconies were listed, but they were enclosed like conservatories. The toilet is in a tiny cupboard you have to step into, and breakfast is expensive, served in a crowded lobby area. The room was clean and staff were pleasant.

The room was spacious and clean, and the staff mostly spoke English well and really tried to help. The hotel isn't in the center, and it's quite a long walk, though still walkable. There's a tram stop right in front. We had a very pleasant stay in Marseille.
