There wasn’t a clean room available. The furniture had marks, the hotel overall felt dirty, and all the seats looked too unclean to sit on. When I asked reception to move us, the person there said every room was like that and the furniture was awaiting investment. That shouldn’t have been my problem. I expected a clean place, and there wasn’t one. I contacted ALL Accor Reservation & Care too. I asked for a clean room, then a room at another hotel if that wasn’t possible, or a refund and cancellation as a last option. None could be arranged. The person assisting said they understood my disappointment but couldn’t do anything, and suggested I contact customer care. On the third afternoon, someone from the hotel emailed after my complaint and said she’d be available to help the next day, when I was leaving. She didn’t even try calling me. Dirty hotel, dirty room, and no help fixing it. A huge regret.

The kitchen was functional and well equipped, and the room itself was acceptable. The AC worked fine and the king bed was comfortable, though the sofa bed wasn’t. The bathroom looked nice and had soap and shower gel, but keeping water off the floor took some gymnastics because the shower door was too small. The service lost a star for the laundry setup. The machine takes coins, but when we asked at the front desk, they told us to get them ourselves. They should have coins available or an exchange machine. On our last day we ran out of toilet paper and soap. They kindly gave us another roll for free, but we had to manage without shower gel, which wasn’t nice with everything closed.

The first room had several things out of order: no hot water, broken heating, a faulty stove for drying clothes, and a damaged hair dryer. Since our clothes were wet from the rain, that last problem made drying them impossible. Reception moved us, but the replacement was much smaller, apparently meant for one person, with a smaller bed and no bathtub. The heating did work there, but the shower leaked and the window had no curtains, so privacy was an issue. When I returned the first key and said the new room was too small for two, the receptionist joked that at least we had hot water. I don’t recommend the hotel. It’s also a 45-minute walk from the city center, which isn’t convenient.

The room smelled awful, and the old hotel stank throughout. Honestly, you don’t want to stay here. It should be rated like a Formule 1 hotel, not even an Ibis Budget.
