I really liked how welcoming the owner was. She was lovely, and even made me a classic French omelette with eggs in the morning, which I appreciated because I don’t eat much pastry. It was a thoughtful touch. The place has charm, but a few things got in the way of a comfortable stay. The Wi-Fi was a real problem for me as a digital nomad traveling for work. The signal barely reached my room on either my phone or laptop, and what I could get was very weak. I assume the thick walls are part of the reason, but that makes repeaters or an improved system all the more necessary. The connection wasn’t good enough for remote work. I also missed having a normal shower. Instead, there was a high-tech, psychedelic bathtub full of buttons, lights and settings. It might look impressive, but it wasn’t practical for daily use. Most days I just wanted a quick, refreshing shower with a simple setup, and this was unnecessarily complicated and not very functional.

We got engaged here, which made the stay especially memorable. The house and quiet surroundings were lovely, and we loved the pool and hot tube. Chef Louis prepared extraordinary food, and the organic wines were amazing. Our hosts were generous and always available.

We had an amazing dinner on the rooftop beside the pool and would love to come back someday. The hosts were so nice, and Nadège gave us a warm welcome. We absolutely loved staying here and would definitely recommend it 🙏 :)

We enjoyed every part of our stay at Vendangeurs Hotel. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was great and the room was fancy. Thank you for making our time in France so wonderful. Five stars! Georges 🇬🇧
