The beach is currently closed because of pollution, but the campsite is still taking bookings without telling guests. There’s no pool either, so people may arrive expecting to swim and find that there isn’t really an option. This should be made clear before anyone books.

We spent about seven nights at pascalounet in October 2025 with our kids and dogs in a mobile home. The service was okay, and the staff did their best to speak English, which we appreciated. We also liked being so close to a pretty little bay. The washrooms are quite old and not as clean as they should be. But there’s one thing I won’t forget. My kids and I were watching the goats that live at the campsite when a staff member came to feed them. One goat tried to get some extra hay from the man, and he brutally kicked it in the belly twice, then started hitting it and shouting. My children were shocked and started crying. I was shocked too and couldn’t react. It was almost three months ago, but I’m still thinking about those poor animals. The campsite is cozy and nice, and our impression had been mostly positive, but this incident overshadowed it. We’ll definitely never come back.
There’s plenty of walking and cycling nearby, plus a bus stop and a train station about a 30-minute walk away for trips to Marseilles. Best of all, the beach is just 50 m from the entrance. It’s a super campsite, clean and well maintained, with water, EHU and wastewater at each pitch. The pitches vary in size but all worked for our 7 m Moho, though getting along the access road can take a bit of manoeuvring. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s a nice little bar and restaurant.
NOT SUITABLE FOR TENTS!! If you’re bringing just a tent without a campervan or similar, don’t camp here. The tent pitches are concrete with a little gravel on top. We arrived at 9:30 PM for late check-in, with no staff around, but we’d been emailed an access code and pitch number beforehand. Then we discovered our pitch was stone. We tried desperately to leave, but there were no hotels nearby and, by 10 PM, all the other campsites were closed. We had to sleep in a tent held down by just two pegs, both stuck halfway into the gravel. I hope the wind doesn’t pick up overnight and blow me back to England. Apart from that, the campsite looked nice, or at least what we could make out in the dark.
The children’s area and beach kept us busy most of the time, so we didn’t mind too much that our sunny pitch had no shade, even with a pavilion, though it did get very hot. We stayed at Camping Pascalounet for 10 nights with our three kids, aged 6, 3 and 1, and had a wonderful time. I can definitely recommend it! It’s a small, quiet, family-oriented campsite, and it was clean, with friendly staff and an easy check-in and check-out through the app. There are activities for kids, including a bouncy castle, playground, football field and organized activities. It’s about 100 m from the ocean and has a good restaurant. There are both shaded and fully sunny pitches.
