Auberge Des Moissons

A quick dip in the pool after the long drive was a real bonus, and we also picked up some lovely cakes from the patisserie. We only stayed one night on our way back to England, but it turned out to be a highlight of the trip. The rooms are simple and comfortable, and both the restaurant food and service were excellent. I wish we'd had more time to stay longer and try some champagne tasting 😋. I'd definitely recommend it.

There’s plenty of parking, though I’d have liked clearer signs about the security cameras. Most of the cars I saw had their bags left inside overnight. The hotel is a lovely, quaint place in a small hamlet, well suited to a short break. It also has a very nice restaurant, with a beautiful bakery right beside it.

The restaurant was a real highlight, with inventive meals at gourmet quality. The owner and staff are very friendly, and some speak English confidently. It’s a cosy Auberge in a very quiet village, with a comfortable room, a really big bed and a good shower, all welcome after a long drive. Tesla drivers get an extra bonus: four superchargers, not destination chargers, in the car park. There’s also a typical French bakery right next door, with a great selection of pastries made in house and coffee, handy if you’re setting off early and skipping breakfast. And if you visit, give their big, friendly chocolate labrador a hug. Definitely recommend it.

The staff made this stop especially nice. Everyone was helpful and genuinely friendly. When we asked about a delicious cheese, a kind lady in the dining room went to the kitchen to show us its label and explain where it came from. Thank you! The clean, functional bedrooms are arranged around a courtyard, with gated, very secure parking. There’s a pool onsite too.
