The big plus for me was the bush around the hotel. The breeze through there was lovely and helped me sleep, though there’s air conditioning if you really need it. It’s also only about 10 minutes from the airport, which mattered when I got in at 2 in the morning after a rough flight from Suriname. I wish I’d known how handy that would be for a couple of hours’ downtime after arriving. It’s a two-star place, but I don’t put much stock in star ratings. The room was basic, almost hostel-like, and had loads of mirrors, which could make it a good spot for a last-minute or before-the-flight lovers’ meetup.

It’s the closest hotel or motel to the airport, but it wasn’t great. There isn’t much else nearby, though, and I wouldn’t stay here again. I’d give the cleanliness 3 out of 5.

It was okay, but the price was too high.
