B&B HOTEL Maurepas

Breakfast had plenty of decent choices, from eggs, bacon and sausages to bread, croissants, cheese, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice and tea. I’d booked three nights, and the front desk staff member helped when I asked to change rooms. The manager was also very accommodating with advice on getting into the city each day. Thanks to Pav and the team for supporting my sister and me while we traveled with the kids.

The location seems odd. There are shops and restaurants nearby, so it looks promising, but they were all empty, as if nobody wanted to go there. The hotel itself is a budget place, and you get what you pay for. The room was tiny and smelled of smoke, which nearly led to my wife divorcing me. I’ve canceled the rest of my bookings with the B and B chain. It seems more suited to passing road gangs and laborers than to families or couples.

The online check-in was easy to use, which helped as a foreigner just passing through. The room was basic but adequate, though it definitely needs updating. The bed was comfortable and the Wi-Fi was fast. The bathroom was very basic and had a bit of a strange smell. Breakfast could have been better for 8 euros.

The bed was comfy and the pillows were soft. The shower felt a little cramped, but the room itself was manageable. The quality of the place is about what you’d expect for the price.
