The river is a lovely way to explore the area, and there’s kayaking, table tennis, billiards and a big pool to enjoy back at Camping ale Clos Bouyssac. We had such a restful, romantic break here. The safari tents felt private and were spotless, comfortable and beautiful. Everyone was so welcoming, and they managed everything we asked for. I’ve never had better service at a campsite. Mornings started with fresh bread and a cappuccino from the little coffee bar, and a few evenings each week there’s a good meal at the restaurant. Definitely one to recommend.

We’re already looking forward to coming back, and want to thank Rosalie, Rutger, Tessa, Walter and Emilie, plus Nova the dog and Luna the kitten. The site is run by a lovely Dutch family who live there, speak excellent English and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. We had a great meal cooked by Tessa on the terrace, and the bar is a lovely spot. The pool looked great too. Our pitch was peaceful and spacious beside the River Lot, with a gentle slope down to the water, plenty of shade, and water and electricity close by. The facilities were spotless, with gilt framed mirrors and chandeliers. For us, it’s hard to imagine a better site.

We spent a wonderfully relaxing time here, watching kingfishers, herons and swallows moving along the River Lot. One evening we shared an excellent “plat de jour” with the Dutch owners, their family and other guests. The facilities are first class, and the campsite sits right by the river. We’d happily recommend it and hope to return next year.

I spent five weeks here, waking up beside the river, making French toast for breakfast and riding through the vineyards into town for a baguette. I also worked by the pool and helped get the campsite ready for summer. I’d stayed here once before, five years earlier. The people running and working at the campsite couldn’t have been nicer, and I loved the place, including the Friday night poker games at the local bar.

A peaceful, beautiful setting, a laid back feel and really good facilities. I don’t often leave reviews, but this campsite deserves one. We loved staying here. Thanks for having us!
