We had a warm welcome from our hostess and slept well in a large, comfortable room with a good bed and a view. The place is close enough to the centre to get there easily, but it stays very quiet. Breakfast was lovely, with croissants.

The house has a shady garden planted with different trees, and breakfast is served kindly in a glass veranda that feels like a winter garden. The breakfasts are generous, with homemade jams. Isabelle, the host, offers plenty of tourist information, and the atmosphere is peaceful and friendly. This welcoming family guest house is ideally placed in Vernet. The 2 Lions was a perfectly pleasant holiday spot, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place for my four-day stay.

We slept incredibly well, and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. After cycling in the rain, it was great to have a refreshing bath. Our room was lovely, with a beautiful view, and breakfast was included with the night I booked using a Wonderbox gift voucher. The owners were so welcoming and friendly. Fantastic experience!
