The hosts' warmth and generosity are what made this stay stand out for me. Alexandra and Hervé greeted me so kindly, and the staff were friendly and attentive whenever I came back before or after skiing. Things ran smoothly without the hotel feeling impersonal, and I left already wanting to return. My room was charming and carefully set up, with comfy beds and pillows, soft carpet, Molton Brown toiletries, a Nespresso machine with starbucks capsules, Evian water by the bed, and evening turndown service. The bedroom and bathroom heating could each be adjusted, which was especially nice after a day on the slopes. The mood was cozy and intimate, with a little touch of luxury. The hotel is close to the center of Megeve, with a supermarket just diagonally across from it. The ski room was well organized, the chairlift was a seven minute walk away, and parking right outside was convenient. A lovely little boutique hotel.

The beds were large and comfortable, breakfast was good, and it was easy to walk into town. I stayed in summer, though, and with 30-degree heat, no air conditioning in the room didn't feel like five-star treatment. I also had to ring a bell to get back into the hotel, which was a first for me, and the staff seemed a bit snooty. The stag decor and interior design felt over the top to me, and I wasn't keen on the lift music during breakfast either. Megève and this hotel weren't really my thing, though the stay was adequate.
