Hotel Le Lv Man

The family running the hotel were incredibly helpful, and the room was superb. We spent breakfast enjoying the view, and chose to sit on our balcony instead of eating in the restaurant. From there, the views stretch across Lake Geneva to Montreux. Being right on the border is handy too: we could pop into Switzerland to see the sights while staying in less expensive France. It was a really enjoyable, relaxing stay.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, which really made a difference. It’s a lovely little hotel for an overnight stay, with well-equipped rooms, great views, and breakfast included. The continental breakfast is well worth having. There’s a small beach across the road where you can relax, and parking is easy and free, just opposite. There’s also a minibar with a few beers, sparkling water, chocolate and other things. One drawback is the road noise. Earplugs are provided, and it wasn’t too bad at night. There aren’t any local shops, so if you arrive early, there may be nowhere to eat, and check-in isn’t until 4 pm. Evian is a nice nearby town, though restaurants don’t open until 7 pm. Restaurant du port is only five minutes up the road, and you should book.

A small, charming hotel with views over Lake Leman!

The lake views from the room windows and balcony were unforgettable at any time of day. The hosts were warm, welcoming, kind, and very helpful. The location is extremely convenient on the less expensive side of the border, with Montreux, Lausanne, Evian, fun parks, and hiking trails nearby. There’s free private parking, and the rooms are in good condition with double noise-cancelling windows. Breakfast was ok.
