The evening meal on the lawn was a real treat: local cheese, meats and rilletttes, with wine, all arranged by Audrey (apologies if I have the name wrong). She looked after us so thoughtfully. We loved the views and the beautiful room, and the welcome was lovely too. This stay was a dream and went well beyond what we expected. A special place for celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary.

That roaring fire in the breakfast room was my favourite part. The room was beautifully appointed and had excellent facilities, and Audrey was a great host. We stayed a couple of midweek nights this autumn. Getting into the property was a little confusing since it was past open hours, but she handled it graciously and thoughtfully.

We enjoyed stopping here for the surroundings, and the café and toilets were good. Château tours are only available with a guide, in French. There wasn't a guide when we came, so we couldn't go inside.

It was a wonderful stay, with the easy, welcoming feeling of staying with friends.

I loved how the château brings together different eras and styles. It's beautiful, feels very liveable, and has stunning views.
