When we got back from a walk on the second day, water was leaking through the room ceiling. They moved us, but we had to wait three hours while they put in a third bed for the three of us. They said they had to wait for some people during that time. The new room’s minibar was completely empty, with no drinks or food. The first day had been fine. The receptionists spoke only a little English, and when we asked about the leak, they said this happens every month.

The location is hard to beat. Menton Garavan train station is a 5-10 minute walk away, the beach is only 300 meters away, and both the city center and Menton’s old town are within walking distance. Our room was pretty good, clean, and quiet for three nights, and suited one or two people. The staff were friendly and nice.

The price felt too high for what we got, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless these problems are addressed. During our two-night visit, the room wasn’t cleaned properly: the bathroom bin hadn’t been emptied, and its bag appeared to be left from the previous guest. Mosquitoes filled the room, which was uncomfortable and unpleasant. We also couldn’t control the air conditioning. The receptionist said it was controlled by the hotel, and the room was uncomfortably cold at night.

The junior suite was spacious and done in light colors. The bed was firm, with two pillows, and the bathroom opened onto the balcony, so it got natural light. The blinds made it easy to sleep. From the balcony, the location gives you great views, and we got a very friendly welcome. The beach is two minutes away, U express is a three-minute walk, and the old town is within walking distance. The botanical garden is just around the corner. We recommend restaurant Tony.

Anthonie Emma franshisca and Ricardo were all so friendly and kind. I want to thank the whole staff, they did everything they could to make our staycation great. I definitely recommend this hotel, even though the price was a little higher.
