8/10
The hostess was cheerful and helpful, and the setting was very quiet, with a small lake and ducks wandering around. It's close to Chambord and Chevergny. The bathroom only had a curtain on a metal cord between it and the room, which wasn't very convenient, and the stairs had no handrail on one side, making them dangerous for little kids.

The lodging was decent, though it was hard to find. Some rooms are part of the owner's house, so it had an Airbnb kind of feel.

A fresh, well-kept house with a lovely garden.

The hostess was warm and attentive, shared plenty of local sightseeing tips, and spoke Spanish really well. We also enjoyed the filling breakfasts, especially the croissants. The rooms felt roomy and comfortable, and having a duck pond right outside was a lovely touch. It seems especially suited to families with kids.

Breakfast was a treat, especially the excellent homemade jams. The host was very friendly, and the setting is beautiful. Château de Chambord is only about a five-minute drive away.
