A disaster. What we found bore no resemblance to the pictures: hair in the sink, holes in the bedding, dirty yellowed walls, grime everywhere, and a terrible smell in the hallway. The courtyard and parking area were falling apart, and the restaurant advertised there is no longer open. You can’t get in after 10:00 PM. It all gave the impression that things were badly wrong and the place had seen much better days. We ended up staying in a lovely auberge in Pérouges, which was probably a blessing for the children and us. I feel sorry for the owners, but this place is unacceptable. I’m giving one star only so the review will show up.

After booking for one night, we didn’t see a single person: nobody at reception that evening, nobody at breakfast the next morning, and nobody at checkout. Shameful. The room was awful, and the bathroom was disgraceful for the 21st century. It’s unbelievable how many lies there were in this situation. Just shameful. No praise for Bowling.

There were 30 of us celebrating my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, and Fernande welcomed us with a lovely smile. We enjoyed ourselves all the way through. The chef, Fernande, and the apprentices were perfect, as usual. I’d highly recommend it!

We had a very pleasant stay in a spacious room with its own bathroom. Everyone was so welcoming, and I appreciated their trust and availability. I’d happily return if I get the chance, and I recommend the place.
