I booked this hotel for our anniversary because my boyfriend loves medieval things, and my only requirement was that we stay in a castle. Before we arrived, I worried that only the outside would look like a castle and the inside would be too modern, but it really did feel medieval. We loved the atmosphere. The area was lovely too, with lots of nature and very kind people. The hotel staff were exceptional. The manager and co-owner even drew us a map to a viewpoint up the mountain, so we had our own little adventure without Google Maps. Everything about the stay and our short vacation was perfect. I rarely book the same place twice, but I definitely plan to come back to this hotel.

La Terasse was a great choice for a summer evening. The staff welcomed us warmly and offered our dog some water too. We had a lovely view over the river, and the meal was great. We chose the set menu, an easy decision at 45 Eur for good value. It was a weekday in mid June and not very busy.

The quiet village setting in Meyronne made for a peaceful stay, and our tower room had lovely countryside and river views. It was spacious and full of charm, with a thoughtful mix of historic character and modern comfort. We felt pampered but also at home. At the restaurant, the service was warm and attentive, and the staff helped us with a few much-needed French lessons. We started with a delicious asparagus entrée made with fresh seasonal ingredients, followed by tender, perfectly cooked pork with rich, savory flavors. Both dishes showed real care in how simple ingredients were handled. Between the memorable meal, the welcoming service and the enchanting room, we had a wonderful time at Hotel restaurant La Terrasse. Meyronne’s peaceful village charm added to it, and we can’t wait to return.
