Mercure Millau

I really liked my stay and hope to return soon. The hotel is lovely and central, the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had quite a bit of variety. My room felt tucked away, but I was grateful for its absolutely lovely view. The room had been recently refurbished and was comfortable; the bathroom was clean, though the shower was very old and had weak pressure. I only realized later that the bar offered coffee and a croissant, which I wish I’d noticed before paying for the full breakfast. I enjoyed it anyway.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the hotel is well located with nice rooms. The shower pressure was very weak, and the screen didn’t keep the water off the floor.

We had a comfortable room with a terrace looking out toward the Viaduct, and the bar was handy for hot snacks. Breakfast was good, though perhaps a little pricey. Tourist spots and restaurants are all an easy walk away, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Simon, who we dealt with most. We’d happily recommend the Mercure when visiting lively Millau.

We turned to this hotel in Millau for help after a tree fell on our car during a snowstorm, smashing the windshield. We were travelling with our four-year-old daughter, but the receptionist on the night of Dec 22nd refused us a room, saying they were full without even checking the system. We ended up spending the night in the damaged car, with a broken window, in freezing snow. The next morning we booked a room through Booking.com without any trouble, and morning staff confirmed there had been availability all along. The lack of empathy and professionalism put our safety at risk. I strongly advise against staying here.
