Les Glycines de Monchy

I wouldn’t expect even the most elegant, luxurious hotels in Paris to beat the quality and welcoming atmosphere of Les Glycines de Monchy. I’d passed through this lovely town near Paris and stopped for the night as it was getting dark. It didn’t occur to me that staying at this little B&B, where the adorable hosts greeted me so warmly, would make my birthday anniversary so memorable and touching. Auguste and Florella kindly helped me get to the train station in Compiegne so I could take the train to Paris and spend my birthday anniversary in one of the world’s most wonderful cities. Auguste picked me up at the station at the end of the day, and my suite in the beautiful chalet was waiting. My feet were tired, but I relaxed in the suite’s jet pool bath while looking through the photos from my day in Paris. What a fantastic day. The next morning, sweet Florella had laid out a lovely breakfast bar. I enjoyed a generous breakfast in the dear company of Tango, one of their adorable dogs, then headed north toward my original destination. Thank you, Florella and Auguste. Kind, generous hosts like you make traveling such a wonderful experience, and one worth repeating. I’m looking forward to visiting again. Claudia

After a long day of driving, it was lovely to be greeted so warmly with a cool drink. This redecorated B&B is beautiful, and the owners are super friendly. It’s a handy, time-saving stop after Paris, right along the highway in a quiet, quaint French village. My room was beautifully decorated and more like a studio, with everything there: a sink, a fridge, and a cooking plate. I loved my stay!

Florella and Auguste are charming hosts, and the comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, and great value made this a fabulous B&B. The colorful garden is magnificent, and the place is beautifully decorated. Highly recommended.

A really friendly couple run this place. The rooms are large and very clean, and breakfast was great. Absolutely fantastic.
