Chambres d'Hôtes A la Garde Ducale

I stayed there back in 2000 and still remember the lovely room in that little medieval town and how friendly the service was.

Our room for four was spacious, with excellent bedding, a roomy bathroom, and a kettle with everything we needed. Water and glasses were provided, parking was easy in January, and we had two peaceful nights. Breakfasts were generous, and the host was very friendly. We'll definitely come back.

Breakfast was superb, served in such a warm atmosphere. Our room was excellent, and our hosts were cheerful, welcoming, and always happy to help or share information so we could make the most of our time in Moncontour. We'll treasure our memories of this place and highly recommend it as a lovely addition to the village.

We loved our weekend in the "Erquy" room at Brigitte and her husband's place, May 24-25. The homemade breakfast was delicious, and I was already looking forward to having it again the next morning. The owners were lovely and helpful, and we enjoyed our morning chats. The room was spotless and comfortable, and the gîte's terrace above the ramparts has a lovely view over the surrounding forest. It's right on Moncontour's main square, close to charming cafes and a lovely bookstore. We hope to come back soon. Best wishes.
