Gîte Aiguillette Du Lauzet

The old building carries sound, so bring earplugs. We heard what felt like a family of elephants upstairs, and our winter visit also left us short on storage: the small boot area was already full, with nowhere for skis or jackets. There was just one usable plug in the room. The place is basic, which matches the price, and the bed was comfy. It was very clean and the welcome was kind. The location is beautiful and tucked away, as expected, with the Trinquet restaurant an easy walk away. Breakfast was only cereal and toast, and definitely not worth the price.

A lovely spot for getting away in nature. The mountain views are breathtaking, and the gîte is in an idyllic location. Inside, it’s comfortable, well equipped, and very clean. The hosts were welcoming and attentive, and the food was excellent too. We’d love to return.

We stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. The food was amazing, and you can tell it’s made with a lot of heart. My son has celiac disease, and they went above and beyond to accommodate his dietary needs. I highly recommend this place.

I stopped for one night while escaping a blizzard on my way to La Grave. It’s a simple, good-value place for a short stay, with a lovely, energetic host. Dinner was a whole experience: a huge serving with starter, main course, cheese, and pudding, plus good wine and a massive log fire blazing away.
