Belambra Club L'Orée des Pistes

The lift is practically on the doorstep, about a 20 metre walk from the ski room to the main Jandri lift. We had a clean, tidy hotel, a good breakfast, and ended up paying for dinner on five of the seven nights even though it wasn't included in our trip. It was that good. There was some street noise on Saturday, the first night, but the rest of the week was fine. I'd return and recommend it to friends. The photo shows us about to take off our skis, with the lift behind us.

The staff really stood out. Everyone, from housekeeping and reception to the restaurant team, was kind and ready to help, and they deserve a lot of credit. We had a very good stay: the rooms had balconies, comfortable beds and a nice bathtub, and the hotel felt quiet and relaxed. Breakfast had plenty of fruit, while dinner was fresh and different each day. New Year's Eve was lovely, too. We'll definitely come back. Happy New Year to everyone at the hotel, and keep it up!

The English breakfast and the location were fine, but the bathroom smelled strongly of sewage. I asked politely several times for help and got no useful service, just excuses. The ski boots weren't heated, so expect wet boots in the morning. Several other guests confirmed the same problem. They played after-ski music until 7 pm with nobody around. We tried to stick it out today, but I can see why no one was there when the cafe 50 metres away was full.

The rooms are very spacious, and ours even had a full-size bath. Staff were friendly and helpful, and dinner came with several choices each evening. There's some noise from the bars on the square, though it wasn't too bad. The location right by the base of the Jandri gondola is perfect. Recommend.
