Chalets Les Jonquilles

The large, enclosed terrace was pleasant, and the chalet had useful equipment like a dishwasher, washing machine, and barbecue. Its location was also ideal: we explored the whole resort on foot without needing a car. But I would not recommend Chalet les Jonquilles for young children. There are stairs all over the place, including a very steep and dangerous one to the bedrooms. I wish I’d known before booking, or that a stair gate had been fitted. The photos were misleading too, showing only the renovated bedrooms while the others were still in their original condition. The two unrenovated basement bedrooms were very damp and smelled strongly. The sheets kept getting wet from the humidity. Cleaning was practically NON-EXISTENT: dust everywhere, a dirty floor, and yellow stains in the basement shower that came off when we simply cleaned it. That felt very poor, especially during COVID, when hygiene and cleaning matter so much.

We have wonderful memories of our stay at this lovely chalet. It easily fits 12 people, making it great for a summer holiday with friends or family. It’s also ideally situated, just a few steps from the town center and the first ski lifts. Highly recommended.

At the entrance to the Les Deux Alpes resort, this is a very nice chalet in a good location.
