The location is great for skiing, and the kitchen staff and service team were very attentive and nice. Everything else made this an awful stay. Our room was dirty when we arrived, and even after we put up the housekeeping sign, nobody came. Every two days we had to collect our own toilet paper, towels and other essentials. Reception was painfully slow whether we were checking in, asking for help or waiting for a reply. The food was okay, but we became extremely sick, and later learned there was a gastroenteritis outbreak at the hotel. We only saw a tiny notice in the elevator on our last day. There had been no proper warning or preventive measures. One of our bedsheets also had black mold. Reception hours were listed incorrectly, so we couldn't plan our departure properly, and the management felt chaotic and unprofessional. For what we paid, basic hygiene and decent service were the least we expected. Instead it was sickness, stress and no accountability. The hotel was a disaster, and we won't return. If you value your health, time and money, stay away.

The service and atmosphere had been good, so I first left a positive review. But after lunch at the hotel, we started feeling worse on the drive home, and today it was confirmed as food poisoning. It's really disappointing. I hope they do something to stop this happening again.

The hotel itself is nice, with good food and lots of restaurant options, plus a useful ski locker room. But the staff spoke little English, all the posters around the hotel were in French, so we had no idea what events were on, and there were no English TV channels. Our toilet seat was broken, and I had to ask many times before anyone fixed it. The path to the high street was badly iced over. Since everyone uses it, I thought they would grit it, as it was dangerous to walk on.

The kids club was great for my son, who loved the friendly staff, and the kitchen and dining room teams were excellent. Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets were delicious. The rooms are basic, but the amenities are decent and the location is great for the ski lift and mountain. The view over the ski slope from the second floor was excellent. Ski rental in the basement was outstanding: they fitted my son and me perfectly with skis, boots and bindings. I'd recommend the hotel, it's great value for money and still has old-school village charm. The owner was there daily overseeing things. Skip the on-site pedicure or spa treatments, though, apart from the massage.
