The hostess was wonderful company, warm and cultured, and did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable, even adjusting to our schedule. The room was spacious, very clean and had comfortable bedding. Breakfast was very good, too. It was a lovely welcome to a beautiful country home. Hope to see you soon.

The gardens were lush, full of flowers and beautifully maintained, and we loved enjoying the delicious continental breakfast on lovely silverware with the hostess. The house itself is superb, decorated like a castle, with beautiful craftsmanship in every room and a real sense of stepping back in time. Our room was spacious and gorgeous, with a magnificent four-poster bed that was incredibly comfortable. My partner and I slept wonderfully. The very large bathroom was perfect as well. A truly delightful hostess welcomed us, and I highly recommend the place.

The welcome and location were exactly what you’d hope for in this kind of accommodation. People who want everything from Ikea are missing out. Sincere congratulations to the hostess. It felt like a trip back to a time when hospitality really meant something.
