Getting to our early train was easy from Hotel du Parc, just a seven-minute walk even with our huge luggage. Our room looked out onto a lovely park, and shops and restaurants were within walking distance. It was clean, though you can see the rooms have seen plenty of visitors over the years. The gentleman at reception was always ready to help and was there from 7 am. Breakfast looked and smelled delicious. I’d pick this hotel for its location, and if you’re taller than 1.60m, ask about the bed options.

Our little dog was welcome, which was a big plus. We stopped for one night to break up a long drive, and the hotel was quiet; our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had no hot dishes, but there was plenty to eat and a good range of options. The bathroom needs renovating, and the hot tap was very stiff. We also could’ve used another pillow each.
